La Rosa Gardens
We are located in Ladysmith which is centrally located on Vancouver Island. La Rosa Gardens is owned by Kathy Huard. She is a long term resident of over 40 years in our community. Kathy Huard and her family have supported accommodation and services in the community. They acquired La Rosa Gardens in 2003.
La Rosa Gardens caters to those aged 55+ who are independent and may require some assistance with daily living. Even though La Rosa is not a Care Facility, nursing care services may be available contingent on the residents’ health care circumstances.
The owners and staff support and encourage maximizing good care outcomes for our residents and we strive to support healthy lifestyles so residents can reach and maintain (as best as is possible) their independence. This has been a core attribute of living at La Rosa Gardens and the commitment of staff who work here.
Independent Living
- Complimentary transportation to town on scheduled trips.
- Complimentary three meals a day including a full breakfast.

- Laundry is provided at an additional charge.
Assisted Living

- Includes two meals a day (third meal at an additional charge).
- Complimentary activities and entertainment on a regular basis.
- Provides the opportunity to receive two prescribed services from VIHA staff- assistance with medication and assistance with daily personal activities.

- Flat Laundry.
- Personalized Laundry at an additional charge.
